Grandparents Day ♥

"Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love."

Since today is Grandparents Day, I would be so proud sharing these thoughts to you about my grandparents (Mother's Side).

My grandparents have been very visible to me as I was growing up. My Lola became my first teacher and was the one who taught me how to do a proper handwriting. My Lolo, on the other hand, was the one who taught me about History, and as I was growing up, I never felt bored listening to his never-ending stories. When I was still in Kindergarten, I used to live with them and they became my mentors when Mom was busy with school (because she's a teacher). When mom goes to school every morning, I'm left at home with my yaya and my grandparents. And in order for me not to get bored at home, my lola would call me and prepare papers and pencils for me. Then she would start teaching me how to hold a pencil properly and etc. Meanwhile, my Lolo would always sit on his favorite place in the house and he would bring me with him and would start telling me about his philosophies in life and how he survived all the circumstances he have faced way back.

Well, I know this is so long and I would not want my readers to get bored of my story. So I'll be sharing to you random pictures with my grandparents.

My most favorite grandparents in the whole wide world.

Last February, my Lola died. And that was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever encountered. Losing her caused me and my family complete pain. But when we saw how strong Lolo was during our grieving times, we told ourselves that we also have to be strong. Here's a candid picture taken by my cousin.

It just shows that my Lolo loved my Lola so much. But as the head of the family, he has to portray a strong composure for us to be strong, too.

But life goes on, we have moved on from that event because we know that Lola is now way happier with God.

To my Lolo and Lola, you both have been my inspiration in achieving my dreams in life. You have molded me into a person I never thought I could become. I have always been thanking you for all the good things you've done and has given me. Thank you so much for being my companion, my bestfriend, my second parents and most of all, for being the most wonderful grandparents ever. I love you until the mango tree grows apple on the 30th of February. ♥
