FACILITATOR'S TRAINING (FINALS)

Before we were able to make this training happen, our class and our subject teacher have undergone many circumstances. And just to make this training happen, we signed a petition to allow us to conduct this training. To make this story short, we were allowed, but not on the same date. Last October 14-15 was the first batch, and during 16-17 was our batch, the second batch.

Here are some FAQs with their corresponding answers:

1. Why does it have to be conducted outside the school?
    -  Simply because learning doesn't revolve in the four corners of the classroom.

2. Why is your payment so expensive?
    - Honestly, before the training, when we were told that we have to pay a very high amount, we also questioned the amount, we even asked for the breakdown. But when we arrived on the place, we were really given great accommodation. There were free breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. They even served us with Lechon. The accommodation was really great that we could even say the amount we paid is not enough.

3. Why Coal Mountain Resort?
   - It was our teacher who decided to conduct the training there. Maybe because she knows the owner. All of us were first-timers on that place. But to tell you, it was all worth it.

4. Was the place nice?
  - YES!!! The place was very nice. They have many rooms where you can rest, a very clean bathroom, a 4ft. pool with slide, a 7ft. pool, a 17ft. pool, hanging bridge, zipline, cable car, a gym, a cave, mini zoo and a very accommodating staff. Although the place has no signal for Sun Cellular users, but I guess it's an advantage, so that you could just forget the world and enjoy the rest of your stay there.

5. How far is it from the city?
  - Very far. The place was very mountainous. Don't worry, because they have their own coasters to bring you there. It might take you 3-4 hours of travel.

So enough of the FAQs, to feed the excitement of wanting to see what the place could really offer, here are some pictures I took, I even grabbed from some of my friends' album. A big credit to Bench Olvis, Arjun Siega, Cris Go and Deacent Tamarra.

Our first hanging bridge experience.

After an hour of getting familiar with the place, our Team conducted our module activity. Our participants were the Team 2. Our module activity was entitled "The Evolution of Man, Survival of the Fittest". Because we were the facilitators, we were not able to take pictures during the activity. After we have conducted the activity, we were given an hour to enjoy. So here are some pictures we had.

Again, with great group of people.

It was almost sunrise when we finished. We ate dinner and after that, we had an activity. The two teams will be presenting their songs and yells in front of the teachers. Here are glimpse.

Team 2, the winning team for songs and yells.

There were still activities after the songs and yells presentation. The next activity was the bonfire activity. Wherein we were told to pick up twigs. After picking twigs, we were gathered together. We were told that we will be standing in front by three's and shout our hearts out on all the negative energies we feel toward others. If we feel disappointed or whatever. That was one of my favorite part because you get to express what you wanted to say long time ago. After that, there was this wash-the-feet activity, wherein you will be picking the person whom you have encountered with not so good terms. And you will wash his/her feet. After few hours, we slept at exactly 1am.

The next day, our first activity in the morning was the team 2's module. We were the participants that time. And my most favorite part of their activity was this.

The water guns!!

After a very tiresome activity, we were given 2 hours to enjoy the rest of the day. So we went ziplining, went to 17ft. pool to take the risk of swimming in a very deep water, and just forgot the world. The next thing was we took our lunch, and we had our presentations by team then awarding of the most recognized junior facilitators.
